Concretum® Q-CON is a rapid-hardening dry and repair concrete with a maximum aggregate size of 16 mm. The concrete can be fully loaded just 2 - 2.5 hours after mixing. Additionally, Concretum® Q-CON dries very quickly, significantly accelerating construction progress.

Q-CON is very easy to use: the dry concrete is available in bags and is simply mixed with clean tap water in a construction mixer. This makes Q-CON especially suitable for local repairs and maintenance such as deep edge breakages or large joint repairs – whenever quick strength is required.

Furthermore, Concretum® Q-CON dries extremely fast, greatly speeding up construction progress. Thanks to its properties, for example, sealings in bridge construction can be applied after a very short time. Concretum® Q-CON is characterized by a particularly low shrinkage rate, making the components created with this repair concrete highly durable.

Advantages and Features:

  • Concretum® Q-CON allows the production of concrete elements that already achieve a compressive strength (fc) of 20 N/mm² just two to two and a half hours after mixing the concrete.
  • After approximately 3 hours, Concretum® Q-CON reaches a moisture content of less than 4.0 CM-%. This enables further work steps, such as the application of sealants in bridge construction or floor installations.
  • Depending on temperature and the amount of water added, Concretum® Q-CON remains workable for 45-75 minutes.
  • Concretum® Q-CON is characterized by a low shrinkage rate. As a result, components made with Concretum® Q-CON have a very low tendency to crack and are therefore exceptionally durable.
  • Depending on the application, Concretum® Q-CON can be reinforced with Concretum® SUPERFIBER. Please refer to the product information for Concretum® SUPERFIBER fibers.

Applications:

  • Air traffic surfaces – Repair of runways, landing strips, taxiways, and aprons
  • Road traffic surfaces – Repair of highways, bridge decks, road transitions, roundabouts, bus stops, etc.
  • Bridge construction – Various components in bridge construction
  • Railway construction – Replacement of fixed tracks in railway tunnels
  • Tunnel construction – Various components in tunnel construction
  • Building construction – For example, precast concrete elements with short formwork stripping times
  • Civil engineering – For example, all types of components that need to harden or dry quickly
