Aare Seeland Mobil AG - Track renovation Murtenstrasse Biel

For the rehabilitation and renewal work on the tracks in the Murtenstrasse in Biel, the fast-hardening concrete Q-FLASH 2/20 was used. The concrete was produced at the concrete batching plant of Vigier Beton AG in Lyss, approximately 20 minutes away. The concrete was transported by truck mixers and installed conventionally. Thanks to the high-tech rapid-hardening concrete from Concretum, it is possible to precisely control the workable times and ensure that the concrete remains workable for a sufficient time for production, transport, and installation.

The use of fast-hardening concrete offers clear advantages for public transport users, as the railway line remains closed for only a few hours, but also for motorists who in this case were forced to take detours due to the construction work.

The fast-hardening concrete from Concretum not only offers very rapid hardening peculiarities but also a lifespan that is comparable to, if not longer than, that of conventional concrete. It is therefore a fast, durable, and sustainable solution.
