Repair of streetcar tracks in Biel

In order to ensure the safety and reliability of public transport at all times, a section of the streetcar tracks in Biel was repaired on behalf of ASM. The work at the intersection of road and rail took place over two weekends in order to keep traffic disruption to a minimum. The foundations of the tracks were renewed using our fast-setting Concretum^® Q-FLASH 2/20 concrete. A total of 45 m³ of our concrete was poured with an open time of between 60 and 100 minutes, adapted to the contractor's desired processing time. Light rain and an outside temperature of 6 degrees had no effect on the workability and strength development of the concrete. The tracks are now ready for use for the next few years.
